The Service Charter is a document prepared by the Department of Public Offices of the Inter-Ministerial Cabinet in agreement with the Ministry of Transport and in collaboration with those involved with the provision of public transport services. It was made official by the Ministerial Decree of 30th December 1998.
The document in question is the general frame of reference for the preparation of the transport sector's “Public Services Charter”, as foreseen in art. 2, paragraph 1 of the decree of 12th May 1995, n. 163, later converted into law n.273 of 11th July 1995 in Gazzetta Ufficiale n.160. The Service Charter of Falcone e Borsellino Airport conforms to the standards for airport management company charters as stipulated by Enac (the Italian Civil Aviation Authority).
The creation of our Service Charter is an important step towards a policy focussing on improving the services provided. It also testifies to Gesap's continuing commitment to carry out benchmarking activities in relation to other important Italian and European airports and is a vital instrument for the airport's future success in a market that is evermore competitive and complex.
